Preamble Lounge & Craft House, Texas Citizens Bank customer and December Business of the Month, was recently featured in Texas Monthly magazine’s Twelve Bars of Christmas in Texas!
“This unassuming suburban speakeasy, located just southeast of Houston and halfway to Galveston, is also host to a Miracle pop-up this year. Miracle at Space City is running through December 24, featuring an oversized Christmas tree and over-the-top decorations they promise will warm even the Grinchiest of spirits. While you can’t go wrong with any of Miracle’s tried-and-true, Instagram-worthy cocktails, the Koala-La La La La La La La (gin, pine, dry vermouth, lime, eucalyptus syrup, orange bitters) is not only fun to order, but comes with a tiny clip-on koala in a Santa hat.”Texas Monthly
Located just outside the Houston loop, Preamble is a hidden gem and local favorite of craft cocktail lovers across the city. Many came in this month for the Miracle specials and extra dose of holiday spirit(s)!
Crafting the Craft House
Like many local businesses, Preamble started with a driven individual fostering big ambitions.
Looking to jump-start his business, Joshua Jones enrolled in an entrepreneurship class at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas.
One class period, Texas Citizens Bank president, Mike Cornett, spoke about the importance of securing a good bank lender. The message stuck with Jones. In early 2016, he called Texas Citizens Bank, ready to launch and finance his own craft house.
Banking for Business
In addition to deposits, Texas Citizens Bank VP and relationship manager, J.P. Morris, helped Jones secure the best SBA loan for his business needs. Preamble Lounge & Craft House now has a strong following in the Clear Lake area that includes Morris.
The Best Is Yet to Come
Despite the already impressive customer base and media coverage, Morris believes Preamble still has a lot of “untapped” potential.
