How to Get Your ATM Fees Reimbursed

posted on March 5, 2019 in Financial

The Worldwide, Fee-Paying ATM Pass

What if ATMs weren’t so expensive and cash withdrawals were fee-free? You wouldn’t worry about card skimmers at that dingy, middle-of-nowhere Texas gas station. You wouldn’t feel the need to take out more money than you need. You wouldn’t think twice about how much that fancy Swiss bank will charge you to pull out foreign currency on your overseas vacation.

What if your bank just took the whole ATM fee out of the equation and picked up your tab? Wouldn’t that be nice?

After all, money is stressful enough. You’ve got your hands full keeping up with bills and watching out for card fraud.

So, don’t worry about this one thing. ATM fees are on us—nationally, internationally, anywhere and everywhere you go.

Texas Citizens Bank pays your ATM fees. All of them. There’s no account balance minimum and you don’t need to be a business customer. It’s just an added convenience we like to give our customers. In short, this is our way of saying thank you for banking with us.

Here’s how our ATM fee reimbursement program works in and out of the country:

Domestic ATM Transactions

When you make a cash withdrawal at any bank’s ATM in the United States, our system gets notified. Without human intervention, our system automatically refunds you whatever preposterous amount the ATM charged you to access your own money. The ATM reimbursement process begins instantly. Once complete, you’ll see a deposit pop up in your account. The deposit amount will match the ATM fee charged. For instance, if the U.S. ATM charged you a $5 convenience fee, our system would automatically it issue you a $5 refund.

International ATM Transactions

Because our system has no automatic gauge on foreign ATM transactions, we’ll need you to give us a heads up. In other words, be sure to send us a message (or call your personal banker when you get back) to let us know which of the charges are ATM fees. Once we’re aware, we’ll reimburse you 100 percent.

In summary, choose to take the stress out of ATM withdrawals. Banking with Texas Citizens Bank doesn’t just pay off in interest and quality service. Switching bank accounts is well worth the effort when you consider the convenience and stress-free feeling this one ATM benefit will bring you.
